FASHION WEEK FAVOURITE // ROBERTO CAVALLI

Peter Dundas has definitely won homecoming queen with his first collection back at Roberto Cavalli after 11 years. Dundas showcased a decadent take on the 70's trend, making it one of my favourite collections of Fashion Week this season.

Roberto Cavalli has never stood out as one of my favourite designers, tacky animal print is all that springs to mind. But this season we saw embellished mesh jumpsuits, embroidered flares, velvet military jackets and animal print silk scarves - what's not to love! Dundas took the elegant, ladylike element of Callavi and transported it into a rock n roll dream. We have seen the 70's trend in many collections since it creeped in a couple of seasons back and some may be fed up, but I can't get enough. So here's hoping the designers keep bringing the flares and animal prints coming.

  1. We've not normally Cavalli fans but love this collection! The 70's-rock-chic aesthetic is so cool and we love the embellishment :)
