CHANEL SUPERMARKET SWEEP

Even more so than usual, the show that have taken the prize for most over the top, spectacular display was Chanel. You thought Karl Lagarfeld had done it all after the Art Dept SS14 and wedding bash themed Haute Couture . But no, he had plenty more where that came from in the shape of the Chanel Shopping Center. Think aisles full of Chanel branded products from groceries to homeware, all holding the Chanel logo.
Models did not typically walk down a catwalk, but onlookers viewed the clothes as they browsed the aisles and carried on with their daily shop. Absolute star studded line-up of shoppers, as always, in the form of Karl's favourite Cara Delevingne, Stella Tennant, Joan Smalls, Edie Campbell & the new face Kendall Jenner. Sparkly shopping baskets and lurex were a great addition to the standard tweeds and the new favourite, shiny trainers, as Karl said "women do not go shopping in stilettos". Models embraced ribbon laced dreadlock ponytails and belly chains with classic tweeds in the form of oversized jackets and a variety of suits. Once again, Lagarfeld stole the show with one sweep of the most glamorous shopping centres to ever exist.
