I knew abandoning my blog was going to have to be one of the sacrifices when I decided to go to Malia for the whole Summer. But I can tell you that any sacrifice would have been worth the amazing Summer I have just experienced. However, it is now back to reality, back to Glasgow and back to University – lucky me. Having been away for 3 months, I’m completely out of sync with everything to do with fashion as Malia outfits consisted of a pair of dirty converse and whatever was clean. So when I came home to a pile of pre-ordered magazines, I started doing my homework. A couple of weeks later, multiple reads of October ELLE and countless times watching The Devil Wears Prada, it’s safe to say I’m back in my original fashion mindset. I’ve stocked up on studs, peplums, leather and patterns and have already wrote a list of the things which I need (focus on the word ‘need’) to buy to get me through this Winter in style. Also I have MILAN to plan for!!! 5 days away - this translates to about 8 outfits which must be fit for day and night and lots of walking. Due to my tight student budget I have to start building the collection now which means picking carefully as in past occasions when I’ve tried to buy in advance for things I end up going off them when I see something else before. So sticking to the 5 main trends on the catwalk for A/W2012 is definitely the best way to go about it. Don’t worry one of my next posts will feature alllll my inspiration down the detail, as trusting me I have each outfit planned to a T and its bloody 4 months away!
Due to the fact I have recently moved into a flat, we had no internet or tv. This has meant drafting blogs, playing uno and watching Harry Potter on repeat as lack of cash has mainly meant weve been housebound. This has meant that I missing out on critical details of FASHION WEEK so posts relating will have to postponed. BUT FINALLY, after 6 lonng weeks we are in action so now I have no excuses. Theres so much to catch up on so be prepared….
