It's here again, the trend where it's acceptable to wear jogging bottoms with heels, silk tops with cycling shorts, itttttt's Sport Luxe! This a trend which inevitably comes around every year. I don't understand why people don't embrace it more - it's perfect way to get away with wearing the comfiest clothes but still be high fashion. The trend caught my attention this season in Topshop. The main mannequin displays centred on this trend. The mannequins were layered in evening dresses covered by anoraks(MUST HAVE), leggings paired with slouched blazers, silk runner shorts with jumpers tied round the waist, topped with hobo bags and metallic heels added the luxury to this very laidback trend. This season on the highstreet, the colours popular with this trend is summer brights and even some neon. On the catwalk, this trend was not only portrayed through types and styles of garments, but some designers like Stella McCartney went the step further and introduced sport performance materials to give ultimate affect. Lanvin, unexpectedly Victoria Beckham and Alexander Wang also showcased this trend in their S/S12 collections.

I plan to interpret this trend by layering jersey dresses with cycling shorts and of course, statement crop tops and bralets, an item which my collection is rapidly growing! I've not posted any outfits posts yet so maybe these outfits will be the first for me to showcase. My first 'Sports Luxe' purchase will hopefully be this gorrrrrrrgeous Dress up:Topshop orange dress with laser cut detail AMAZING. KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED
