Brit Awards 2012

It was the time of year once again for the Brit Awards! The night was full of celebration of British and International aritists new and old, also paying tribute to the late Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. Ed Sheeran, Adele and of course, Blur stole the show with their Outstanding Achievement award and crazy 11 minute long set! Biggest flop of the night was James Cordon pulling a Kanye and interupting Adele's accepting speech for best album OOOPS. But alongside all that palava, I was more concerned with who wore what.

Jessie J, Pixie Lott Dolce and Gabbana, Nicole Scherzinger Versace Spring/Summer 2012, Fearne Cotton Miu Miu
Jessie J was wearing a barely there red sheer dress which would of bared all if it was for the cleverly placed red lace. Pixie Lott looked classic as always in a black strapless Dolce and Gabbana floor length dress with ruffling detail while Nicole Scherzinger went for a brighter look in Versace Spring/Summer 2012 yellow dress. Fearne Cotton kept it simple in a Miu Miu ensemble.

Florence Welsh McQueen, Adele Burberry Prorsum, Rihanna Givenchy, Lana Del Ray Vivienne Westwood
I think Rihanna won the award for most glamourous in a heavily embellished Givenchy Couture dress paired with long leather gloves. But had a dramatic change for her performance where she sported a cream knitted jumper and Timberland boots WHO DA THOUGHT!?? Looked hot as usual though, but heres hoping girls don't think it's acceptable to wear timbies! Female winner of the night Adele rocked a Burberry dress, simple as always but looked stunning. Florence returned to the scene in a pale floaty McQueen dress and Best International Breakthrough winner Lana Del Ray in vintage Vivienne Westwood. Also it has to be said.. Didn't the One Direction boys look handsome all suited and booted(kinda)? Loving the bow ties and pocket squares.

Overall everyone looked faaaaaabulous but this years Brits wasn't as glamourous as usual apart from the lovely ladies. Lacked the usual British eccentricity! But nevertheless, it was a success all the same, Well done to all the winners!
